The children of course had already ran in ahead of him, throwing their clothes off as they went. Though since Ryker had a little more to take off and definitely had more to hide he took his time making sure nothing got too dirty, setting his clothes in a pile along with everything else he carried until he was stripped down to his shorts. The little girls giggled when they saw him and Ryker just smiled back, a slight tint to his cheeks. All of the children scattered as he ran toward the river yelling, they all screamed in response.
Just then a small bird like creature flew over head with a very fast speed. Rykers head popped up out of the water as he eyed the creature. A smirk appeared on his face as he watched it soar around. All the children began to point up and ask around as one shouted out in recognition, "It's Tanny!"
Ryker laughed at the name that the children had given her, it was cute. Though as she heard the laugh she dived, spiraling down with a mad look on her face. She landed ontop of his head and began to bite him. "Ow ow ow...OK! Stop!" Ryker was swatting lightly at his head trying to get her to stop. She hmp'ed and settled down on his head. "Your getting a little big for sitting up there aren't you?" Tanis' face turned a shade darker as she talked to him through a form of telepathy, You know, I have the mind to peck your eyes out right now...
The little children surrounded Ryker and began jumping, trying to pet Tanis. She swatted them away with her tail then jumped off of Rykers head and landed in the water. For a wyvern she was an excellent swimmer though she just sailed around like a duck now, the children almost hypnotically followed her. Ryker laughed at this sight, it was rather funny, a group of children following a dragon that looked like a duck.

Carbuncle had been flying for two nights straight and she was starting to get tired. And thirsty. Oh, so thirsty. She hadn't had a good long draught of fresh, clear, cold water since getting off that tugboat they called a pirate vessel. She flapped her wings lazily then felt reewed energy as she scented water. She licked her chops noisily. "What is it?" Rizen had woken up about an hour or so ago and still had a crick in his back from sleeping on her. Actually, he was quite used to sleeping on her, but sleeping on her while she was flyin and trying to restrainb himself took a lot out of him. "Water," she answered, "A lake. Or a large pond." She dipped in flight, headed towards a large blue area. Rizen's eyes popped open. "Carbuncle...What are you...No. No! Not while I've got my clothes on, they'll be ruined, Carbuncle!" With a loud splash she hit the water and sent him tumbling off, soaking his cloths. The cotton absorbed the water like a sponge and weighted himn down as his tunic and pants sagged heavily. He came up sputtering and looked around before slapping his head, knocking some water off his coppery hair. Several children were looking at him with large eyes and a lone man was staring with his mouth slightly agape and one brow raised, as a very small wyvern introduced herself to Carbuncle. He closed his vibrant blue eys for a moment and sighed. He opened them and managed a friendly grin. "Um...Hi?"

OOC) Gah! Don't make me do things that I don't do...especially talk.
All the children had quite a surprise as the dragon and man came diving into the water, causing a large wave. Some had ran away while the others went into a little bundle for safety around Ryker.
"Cap'n Rye, what is it?!" One of the children, Gill had whispered up at him. Ryker looked the man over as Tanis swam in place infront of him. What do you think of them? Ryker confronted Tanis before speaking aloud, "Are you friend or foe? Or maybe inbetween?" the last part was said with a little questioning smile. Be warry for now, you never know with all this tension between the kingdoms... Tanis replied as she narrowed her eyes and watched the dragons movements. In truth she had seen very few other dragons besides the others in the kingdom and a few she had met while traveling. She didn't seem at all alarmed at the man since Ryker had his eye on him, waiting for a response from this man who had eyes much like his own though of course Ryker still had a youthful look to his.

(ooc i didnt, that was my character talking, but it did kinda look other wise, huh?)
Ryzen considered his response for a moment as Carbuncle swam up behind him and whispered in his ear. "This one and his wyvern, they speak with their minds." He turned and gave her a questioning look. She simply nodded. Not many dragons can speak verbally, at least, not without hissing and trilling their silibents. But all dragons were extremely powerful in matters of the mind, particularly Mind Speech. As a result, Ryzen was a...novice...in the art. He chose to give his answer in this way instead. Carbuncle whispered into his ear again, this time whispering a response. Many people are friends, he mind spoke, and many are enemies. I can be either, or neither. If you will be a friend, then so will I. Now he chose to speak aloud. "I'm Ryzen. And this cheryy blossom dream is..." "Carbuncle," she interupted, "My name is Carbuncle. And you?" Ryzen winced a bit. He had hoped she would be her usual shy self, but another dragon was near, a female no less, and that always made Carbuncle a bit...aggressive. Not dangerously so, for which he was thankful. Not willing to wait for a response, Carbuncle swam to a deeper part of the lake and dove down. She stayed under for a few moments and came up with a large fish in her jaws. She swam to nearby shore and shook herself off, getting water on the few parts of his body that werent already soaked. She shot another look at the little wyvern, then a questioning look at Ryzen. He responded with his own stern look and turned back to the man as she laid down to eat, tearing into her small meal with ecstacy. She loved fish, a habit not shared by mose land-based dragons.

Tanis looked a little taken back as the dragon gave her what seemed to be a dirty look, I've deserved no such thing! Rude son of a... she yelled in her mind to Ryker. Calm down, let us introduce ourselves and maybe it won't be that bad, just keep your damn temper under control... Ryker cleared his throat before he spoke back in a calm manner, "My name is Ryker Anslem, many call me Captain Ryker." "His names Cap'n Rye!" Ryker looked down at the little one that had yelled behind him and gave him a smile as if to say shush. "That is what most people call me, yes..." "And I am known as Tanis, no less, no more." It was perfect english that she spoke back, it sounded along the lines of a young but serious woman. Ryker was a little taken back this time since she hardly used her voice unless she meant to keep her inner voice strickly between them. "Yes well, I am the captain of this lands army. We welcome you to Darkwulf and hope you enjoy your stay. Though if trouble is caused I will be the one to personally kick you out." Just then down the road you could hear someone calling to them. Tanis spoke to Ryker It's the old maid, she says the feast is ready. Ryker thought for a bit before he talked back to her, Tell her we'll be there in a couple of minutes. With that Tanis nodded and took of, flying to the woman down the road. Ryker turned back to the man with a grin on his face, "You have impecable timing Ryzen, I've been back only today and they've prepared a feast. Will you give us the honor of showing you some Darkwulf hospitality and join us?" Ryker then raised his hand and made a signal to the dragon, chewing happily on her fish. "Carbuncle is welcome to come along also if you decide to join us." With that Ryker turned to the children and gave them a stern look. "You heard what's going on, now go." Complaints were said left and right as the children made their way home. "If you wish to change out of those wet clothes I think I might have something for you back at my house. I must go change myself..."

Ryzen grins after the children. He was very good with kids, and found they were often better company than adults. He turned back to Ryker and bowed slightly, one hand clasping the other in a fist in front of him. "I would be honored to accompany you. And a change of clothes would be quite nice, thank you." He looked at the little dragon, who was still watching him with much annoyed interest. He found this rather funny, and the fact that she spoke perfect English, with few hissed silibants was quite pleasent, although her tone was another matter. "If it is alright with the Lady Tanis, of course," he said, bowing down even further so show respect to the little wyvern. He turned his head to motion over Carbuncle. "Carbuncle, are you coming?" She snorted and finished her fish before walking over, being sure to get between him and Tanis. "I would love to." Ryzen slapped his forehead. "Kayan, jeye-es nofortis kal sa'un, es jeye," he mumbled to himself in the draconic tongue, a language most other humans could not pronounce. He took great pride in his fluency, although he could not hiss, roll and trill his silibents, so his accent was a bit off. Translated it was; "For heaven's sake, your not jealous at all are you", or litterally; "For the sake of heaven (Kayan) You're (jeye-es) not jealous (nofortis, being jealous is iyenfortis) at (kal, sometimes translated as with or of) all (sa'un, sometimes translated as everything), are you (es jeye, es is sometimes translated as is or am)." "Ho, iyenfortis, kal sen? Kurrudublas.(Me, jealous, of her? Rediculous)," was the response, though he hoped she hadn't heard him. Or at least had the good sense to respond under her breath, since it was considered rude to speak in a foreign language in front of someone who couldn't understand, though since Ryker had a dragon of his own he may well have understood everything that had been said. This was, however, not the case. "You must forgive Carbuncle. She gets quite jealous when other dragons are around, especially such a cute little female as Miss Tanis," he said as he forced his way around her. He had said it to infuriate her, and it worked. Her hackles rose and her claws fully extended. "Ho es (I am)..." "Hoyen ses ligan kal tig nasar (We will speak of this later)," he said firmly, cutting off her biting reply. She was quite chastized by this and dropped her hackles and resheathed her claws. "Foyen thela, heen ca ho trebe kal jeye siek-nalan (Fine then, see if I bed with you tonight)." Her eyes popped and she slapped a claw over her muzzle as a horrified look came to Ryzen's eyes. Even if Ryker hadn't understood, Tanis surely would have, and that would likely eradicate any chance of acceptance in this place called Darkwulf. He prayed that she either hadn't noticed or didn't care.

Tanis laughed as the man and the dragon had a little spat, Ryker was about to laugh too but he thought it might be taken as rude since it would show he was listenning. "(1)Tysti, jhaer'm kai." Ryker had told Tanis, it was a different language entirely, elven. He used it in the hope that they wouldn't understand. He then raised his hand to Ryzen and Carbuncle eyeing the setting sun in the distance, "(2)Ien mejor tandenne coer.." Catching up with Tanis she immediately began to complain through their mind's voice. Listen to them, they sound like an old bickering couple... Ryker smirked at this, You act as if we haven't had our share of fights. Tanis smirked back and both laughed. Though before they could get further it was heard and brought Tanis to a stop. Ryker began to whistle as he tried to keep her moving, though before he could do anything she turned around to look at them. "(3) Toit?!" Ryker merely sighed and mumbled to Tanis, "(4)Air'm byr os vali sai bedi mystaelaer...risisili." Tanis looked on at the couple, giving them an odd look, not necessarily bad, just odd as Ryker began to usher her off back in the direction they had been going. "Excuse her, she meant nothing. Come, let us go back to the village."
OOC) Translations...I was lazy and didn't want to put them in the rp
(1)"Come, let's go." ~Elven (2)"We better walk fast..." ~Dragon (3)"What?!" ~Dragon (4)"It's not our place to judge someones...preference." ~Elven

Ryzen was stunned at the mild response. The little wyvern had obviously understood, but had Ryker? And if her had not, had she told him? The mild response told him no, but something about the his tone... Carbuncle was the first to respond, charging ahead quickly. "Yes lets go. I'm famished. Living on dried meat rations for four months is a torment. Right now I'd love nothing more than some good, red meat, raw and dripping. But first..." She shook herself off again, spraying water everywhere and causing the few bags she carried to slap loudly against her side, before arching her neck and blasting a massive line of blue flame high up into the sky. She shook her head and grinned broadly, blushing as well. "Excuse me. You've no idea how long I've held that in. Now, Ryzen?" He shook his head. "What?" "Do me a favor..." "What?" "GET THESE BAGS OFF ME!!!" He grinned a bit. He quickly went to work, and in a few second had all 4 bags on his back, along with his own satchel. The bags were wet, meaning his clothes probably were, too. He didn't have to worry about Carbuncle's things; the few baubles she possessed were water proof, anyway, and she prefered it that way. Something sharp jabbed him, and he reached back to find Salam-at-Siyesh (Soul of Angel) and Salam-at-Siyung (Soul of Demon) had slipped out of their sheathes slightly. He pulled them forward and checked over the weapons, fearing that they had gotten wet or damaged. The scimitar was fine, so he slipped it into his belt before checking Salam-ab-Siyung. He tugged on the blade and extended the weapon's shaft to its maximum-7 feet-before sortening the weapon, each 4 inches of movement accompanied by a loud click. Satisfied that the exotic weapon of his own design was working properly he stuck it in his belt as well. "After you."
